Aim of the project
The project aims to improve the psychosocial well-being of marginalized groups in Syria—particularly women who have experienced multiple forced displacements and young people who use substances—by strengthening the quality and accessibility of support provided through SFPA. It combines capacity building for local professionals and volunteers with culturally adapted digital blended care.
Who will benefit?
Direct beneficiaries
SFPA professionals and local volunteers who will receive training and use the blended-care approach in their work.
Indirect beneficiaries
Marginalized people receiving support through SFPA, particularly women who have experienced repeated forced displacement and young people who use substances.
What is planned?
- Needs-sensitive training using a train-the-trainer approach
- Training and practical preparation of local professionals and volunteers
- Integration of face-to-face support with culturally adapted digital blended care
- Arabic digital information and structured support modules
- Structured monthly case-based intervision linked to the training curriculum
- Participation of an advisory group
- Monitoring, evaluation and continued improvement of the intervention
Where we are now
The project is currently in preparation. SFPA has been confirmed as the local implementation partner. The collaborating teams have developed the project concept, responsibilities, training and blended-care approach, advisory structure, and monitoring and evaluation framework. The technical infrastructure for the digital component is already available. Practical implementation has not yet started.
